Has it cracked down the side of a previous weld repair? First photo looks a bit weld beady to the left og the crack or is it just dirt.
Sorry about that

That's a sorry sight.
But looking at the damage to the rim I'm not sure a non-runflat would have fared any better.
Good luck getting it sorted.

The damage to the tyre was due to me driving it whilst tyre was flat, I was stuck and needed to be able to drive to work for three days before I could get the time off work to get it looked at. The pros and cons of being a funeral director. Your life and needs come second to those of our clients.

Wait, you drove for 3 days on a flat tyre? On purpose?MrDeathcare wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 12:55 am The damage to the tyre was due to me driving it whilst tyre was flat, I was stuck and needed to be able to drive to work for three days before I could get the time off work to get it looked at. well it is a runflat..I know thats not quite the idea of them but like the guy says he's a funeral director and pretty sure those guys have been quite busy for quite some time now My brother in law is in that business and he's been working 12-15 hour days 6/7 days a week for over 8 months so perhaps give the guy a breaktiglon wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 7:17 amWait, you drove for 3 days on a flat tyre? I am struggling to understand that driving for at least 6 journeys over 3 days on a flat tyre is regarded as acceptable. What's the full story here MrDeathcare? How would you have got to work if your car would not start? I struggle to understand because some tyre fitting companies will come to your place of work, or home. Then there are buses, night buses, trains, taxis and so on.
I used to have two boys and a girl. Now I have two Men and a Woman.

Yeah I have a busy job too, but I wouldn't say that's a good reason to put other people's lives in danger. There's always another way to get to work or time to get the tyre changed.mr.tourette wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 9:46 amwell it is a runflat..I know thats not quite the idea of them but like the guy says he's a funeral director and pretty sure those guys have been quite busy for quite some time now My brother in law is in that business and he's been working 12-15 hour days 6/7 days a week for over 8 months so perhaps give the guy a breaktiglon wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 7:17 amWait, you drove for 3 days on a flat tyre? I knew someone who worked for the local funeral directors too, he used to joke a bit about the busy period coming up (winter) and meeting lots of new people (dead people)mr.tourette wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 9:46 amwell it is a runflat..I know thats not quite the idea of them but like the guy says he's a funeral director and pretty sure those guys have been quite busy for quite some time now My brother in law is in that business and he's been working 12-15 hour days 6/7 days a week for over 8 months so perhaps give the guy a breaktiglon wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 7:17 amWait, you drove for 3 days on a flat tyre? I always remember a quote I was told on a driving course I attended (Not a speeding one I hasten to add) Better be a driver late than a late driver.MrDeathcare wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 12:55 am The damage to the tyre was due to me driving it whilst tyre was flat, I was stuck and needed to be able to drive to work for three days before I could get the time off work to get it looked at. Mine was always better to be 30 minutes late to a meeting than 30 years earlier in the next life.Nanu wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 8:08 pmI always remember a quote I was told on a driving course I attended (Not a speeding one I hasten to add) Better be a driver late than a late driver.MrDeathcare wrote: ↑Fri Apr 30, 2021 12:55 am The damage to the tyre was due to me driving it whilst tyre was flat, I was stuck and needed to be able to drive to work for three days before I could get the time off work to get it looked at.
