Spacer question

I've searched but cannot find the answer.

I'm looking to add hubcentric spacers to the front wheels. Ideally I'd want 10mm, but not sure whether the hub lip is deep enough to support.

I could take the wheel off and measure, but if anyone knows the answer that'd be great.

10mm will be fine,i put 15mm on mine and they rubbed slightly

My question was more as to whether 10mm would fit flush against the hub. 15mm would be fine, as the hub lip is (from what I've read) 8mm or 10mm. If it is 10mm I'd be concerned that a 10mm spacer wouldn't be deep enough to fit flush. 12mm would be fine, but with the 224 wheels I have fitted I think it may start to rub.

I've got H&R 10mm hubcentric spacers fitted to the front of mine with 224's and tyres 225/40. I've never had any problems.

Ah that is interesting, thanks for the info. What I really should do is go and remove the wheel and measure the depth of the hub, but good to know others are running 10mm with no problem.

My current E86 came with hub-centric spacers, 10mm on one end and 15mm on the other. (They were a real b*stard to get off)

The hub-centric part was deeper than the spacer. Hopefully that makes more sense in this photo of their front faces!
