Wheel & tyre help please

Post by mmm-five » Tue Jan 12, 2021 8:48 pm

No, not for the Z4, sorry!

I've got a spare set of genuine 18" Style 135/MV2s from an e46 (f:8x18et47 and r:8.5x18et50)...and a F31 M-Sport (fitted with the optional 340mm 4-pot M-Sport brakes) with 19" Style 403M (f:8x19et36 and r:8.5x19et47) wheels.

Now for the question...

The rears look okay to me (3mm difference), but how about the 11mm difference on the fronts?

Can I use the 18' MV2s as a winter set of wheels for the F31 (I don't believe I can go down to 17" wheels with those brakes anyway).

I've included the offsets above, but don't know what they mean other than bringing them in or moving them out from the centre line - don't know if the different offset of the MV2s would foul the caliper.

Is the solution just to sell them and buy an 18" set from the same model vehicle (maybe a square setup)?

Just to close this off...

No, they won't fit without a 10-15mm front spacer :P
