Alloy wheel cleaner?
I’ve tried so many wheel cleaners but the style 296 are great looking but awkward to keep clean . Any preferred recommendations?

I use Built Hamber Surfex HD.
https://www.bilthamber.com/surfex-hd
I have a 5ltr bottle and dilute it for wheels and arches down to 10% in a spray bottle. Bang it on for 5 mins and then give it a quick brush then water spray off (don't let it dry).
I use it at 1.5% for the leather in the car and around the house too.
I think they do an actual wheel cleaner too but it's a lot more expensive.

If you want the wheel cleaner then here you go.

I have never used it but I love the foam they do (not as impressive in terms of actual foam as others) but really shifts the dirt.
The shampoo is decent too. All their products are super concentrated but also at a decent price too.

I used Auto Smart Red 7 then Auto Smart Alloy Wheel Cleaner then just a normal car shampoo
There’s multiple sites on eBay etc where you can buy a bundle of 3 x 500 ml bottles to try.
I got the Red 7, Wheel Cleaner and Tango quick detailer for £13.99 I think for the 3 bottles.

I too can recommend Bilt and Hamber wheel cleaner, I use it diluted 50:50 and it works brilliantly. Didn't know about the Surfex, if it's cheaper and still does the job will give it a try next time.

I use Bilberry Wheel Cleaner once every three months or so.
I wash my car once or twice a week and for that matter I use CG All Clean APC 1:10 with brush and wheels are brand new.
But I also have got ceramic coating on them plus thet're waxed often.
Best deal is to use pH-neutral stuff. if not, then do not let it sink too much on the car.
@Argyll your wheels are like 80% clean Think about replacing BMW center caps on them.

I’ll leave that to the new owner as that was it getting cleaned just before trading it inPanta Rhei wrote: ↑Fri Oct 09, 2020 6:08 pm @Argyll your wheels are like 80% clean Think about replacing BMW center caps on them.

Alloy wheel cleaner?
OK, so probably my first daft question of the week...................
If I use the Bilt Hamber cleaner, will this have any effect on the Poorboys Wheel Sealant that is already on there?
ie. I want the easiest way to clean the wheels off, but not at the expense of removing the sealant.

Once they are clean get them protected, much easier to keep them cleaner and to clean them then.

Oh yes, that's the route I took initially.
Dragon's Breath to clean them up, then Poorboys Sealant; about 4 layers.
But being a lazy git, and fed up kneeling on the gravel scuffing my knuckles to keep the wheels perfectly clean, I am looking at the simplest way to clean them without undoing the work I've already put in.
The jet wash does a 95% job in conjunction with the Poorboys coverage, but there's always that niggling need to get your hands in there and rub away at the last bits.

Yet to find a brush that'll reach the back of the spokes though.Benderloch wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 12:43 pmGet a decent wheel brush, well worthwhile.
Mk1 hand still comes out the best.

I have the larger of these 2 angled Wheel Woolies. It gets in behind the spokes on my MV3s no problem at allenuff_zed wrote: ↑Sun Nov 01, 2020 12:46 pmYet to find a brush that'll reach the back of the spokes though.
