New (to me) wheels

Post by IRD » Tue Sep 29, 2020 9:00 pm

My new to me wheels arrived today. I’m really pleased with them. One needs a little cosmetic work because of a light scuff and goes in for treatment tomorrow. So should have it back by the end of the week. Hope to to have some photographs of the wheels on the car next week.

I really like those - they remind me of Style 32s.

But you're going to spend a lot more time cleaning them than the 230s!
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

Well it’s a thought Andy. But the wife has many pairs of shoes so I don’t think it’s unreasonable for me to have more than one set of wheels for my pride and joy. As Iain says the only downside is that these Beyerns are going to take a lot more cleaning.

Well that's an interesting way to look at it Ian! Good luck getting that past senior management.

I’m nothing if not an optimist. Or am I just being naive?

Looking for a bit of guidance on tyres for my new wheels.
The wheels are Beyern Aviatics
Fronts are 19 x 8.5 ET 30
Rears are 19 x 9.5 ET 35

Currently the fronts have Conti Sports 6s which are 235/35 R19
The rears have Conti Sport 6s which are 265/30 R19

There is still a fair bit of tread left (about 5.5mm) but there is very little protection for the rims from scuffing. They seem to stand proud of the tyres.

Any suggestions gratefully received.
Ian

Thanks Stuart. You mean I have to tell Angela about the wheels?
