Style 32 weights
Hi I'm trying to find out the wheel weights of 17" and 18" style 32 wheels. If I find a set locally I will try to weigh them and let you know.
I've seen posts on forums suggesting they are less than 10kg, but others saying they are over 11kg.
Some posts that I've read seem to suggest the 18" versions are lighter than 17" - there are a few sources of wheel information out there but wondered if anyone had actually weighed the wheels by themselves on the scales.
Threads for ref:

Many thanks

Which specific wheel (diameter & width) are you looking at, as there isn't a single weight for any size.
The smallest, least sturdy one for an old e36 compact might only be 8kg, and the largest, sturdiest one for a newer, heavier 7-series might be 15kg.
For example, the BMW parts catalogue (bmwfans.info) says::

I have genuine E46 wheels on mine. Part numbers are 36111095340 (fronts) and 36111095341 (rears).
According to realoem (I know, I know) the weight of my 32s are 9.100/kg front/9.500kg rear.
And according to realoem (yes, I know) the weight of 108s is 11.226kg front/13.000kg rear.
So, while I'm not going to take my wheels off the car, remove the tyres and weigh them for you, I hope that is of some help

Thanks chaps, that's very helpful, gives me something to go on.
If I can get simply a wheel & tyre weight,
it should give a rough indication of the weight,
and I can always estimate the wheel weight by subtracting the quoted 'brand new' tyre's weight.
Will update with numbers if I can get a set to weigh.

Won't the online tyre weights also be subject to as much variance as the online wheel weights?

A tyres weight is arguably more important than the wheel as it’s furthest from the point of rotation. One of the tyre reviews videos listed some weights of several major brands and I seem to remember the vredestein, whilst a decent performing tyre, weighed almost 2kg more per tyre than the Goodyear equivalent. That’s enough to offset the savings a pretty expensive set of wheels might give you.

I’ve got some 18” stashed away. Will dig them out and get some weights for you.
Not sure how correct sites may be, but they feel quite light, even with tyres they seem light. Without and it’s quite strange how little they weigh.
Won’t be till the weekend mind you!

Brilliant, well done for remembering to update, Kis. Some very interesting numbers there - especially the weight of the rears. Heck of a saving over the standard 108 or MV2s for example.kis wrote: ↑Sun Oct 04, 2020 11:20 am Forgot to update!

Roughly 2kg saving on the fronts and 4kg saving on rears. 12kg overall. Nice

Welcome bud
Not sure why my rears are lighter than normal (i.e. Real OEM)
I did double check and I used a 5kg free-weight as control for the weighing scales. So I know my weighing scales are accurate.
Defo a good OEM option for wheels... not cheap tho!
