Plenty of options around - I generally use Bathwich tyres in Midsomer Norton, decent bunch of people who have helped me out with the odd freebie now and again (e.g. splitting tyres off for free when I was refurbing alloys) and touch wood have never damaged or marked anything I've taken there (unlike the MAJORITY of other places I've used over the years - including a recent mobile fitter).

They're not the cheapest, but they are part of the network of garages used by blackcircles.com for fitting - so if they don't give you a decent price on the phone you could simply order online and get them fitted there either way without delivery charge etc. Generally, they will match blackcircles pricing for this very reason though.

I tried the local one in Bath today to see how close they could get to Camskil, he took down the prices which I think he then doubled checked on Camskil’s website ...then just said ‘no point giving you a price, can’t get close’

When I asked how much to fit a customer supplied tire he said £20 each and I literally burst out laughing!

I’m not sure he saw the funny side.

Brilliant - sounds like the first couple of conversations I had with my Bathwick :)

Just in case I wasn't clear - if you check 'fitted' prices on Blackcircles, you can select either the Bath or the Midsomer Norton Bathwick branch to fit them for you - there is nothing further to pay, the tyres will be delivered there ready for your visit.

I think with the buying power of Camskill and Black circles, small chains or independent fitters struggle to get anywhere near (so just receive standard fitting commission paid to them from Black Circles).

I was just being a bit lazy as the little independent garage down the road had quoted me £30 all in to supply valves, fit my own supplied tires and balance them. I should probably have just called the Midsomer one and skipped Bath, but I thought I might as well try and get a Camskil pricematch
