18" tyres question

Post by Panta Rhei » Fri Jun 19, 2020 3:17 pm

Morning,

CAR: 2007 3.0si roadster

Idea is to put 8.0x18 ET 37-38 225/40 fronts.
Rears are 8.5x18 ET 34, so they fit like a glove on 255/35 (keeping in mind my previous 224s 9.0x18 ET 30 did not rub at all).

Question lads: Is my assumption regarding 8.0 with ET 37 with eibachs not rubbing in front of the car correct?

I want Michellins and they seem to be a little quare on the edge, not rounded like other manufacturers' tyres.

Help :fuelfire: :tumbleweed:

18" tyres question

I'm not sure if the post you quoted answered your question, but as that referred to 19s I'm guessing it didn't.

I fitted a set of E89 wheels to my 2nd 3.0Si and the fronts were 8Jx18 ET29 and had no rubbing, although it was on standard M-Sport suspension.

Your suggested fitment ought to be OK as it's only like fitting 10mm spacers to the usual MV2, 108, etc. options, and I'm sure people have run those with spacers and Eibach springs.

But hopefully someone who has can confirm for you!
