New Wheels!!

Post by Zeld4 » Wed Oct 16, 2019 11:42 am

After 8 years of ownership and almost 100k miles the 108’s were in a sorry state and leaking everywhere. I do love 108’s but the refurb seems to cost a load so I thought for a bit more I should get some decent wheels that won’t be needing another refurb in a few years. So I got some 3SDM wheels, 18 inch staggered set up. Really chuffed with how they look, rears have a nice concave and also got another set of Vreds to go with my new wheels! :)

Very smart. Suit the car. I had 108s on my E 85 and liked the look of them but they do have their problems.

I like those. Good to see a style of 18 that I’ve not seen before that really suits the car. I like the fact the fronts have a degree of concave too.

It is a bit of a shame to get rid of the 108’s as they are unique to the Z4, but as you say, problems. Glad you like the new ones!

Thanks for the positive response. For 18’s they actually look a bit bigger than 108’s, maybe the polished lip is quite thick and gives an impression of being larger.

Your new wheels look fantastic.

I had the same issue with my E86. A previous owner had the 108s refurbed a few years before I bought it and I wanted to replace them with something else while they were still in good condition.

Ended up getting a set of staggered 295s from a forum member who was putting 19s on his E89 and I'm very pleased with them!

Cheers! When I bought them I was told they have the same offsets but they seem to sit further out than 108’s and give a better stance. Also I was buying from the internet so didn’t really know what they would would look like on my car or what the finish would be like, but I’m really happy with the quality of the wheels.

Nice  . Gives the E86 a bit more of an 'aggressive' and more modern look. Now just de-badge and get the roof wrapped to finish the look :driving:
