Pirelli P Zero Tyres

My 3.5is is fitted with Pirelli P Zero runflats. The rears are ready for replacement but the fronts still have about 5.5mm of tread on them. Just debating whether to buy 2 Zero runflats for the rears or whether to replace all 4 tyres with non-runflats?
Has anyone had PZero runflats and the PZero non runflats and noted differences in ride comfort?
I had Goodyears on my E 85 and was pleased with them so they are a possibility too.
Any advice welcome and appreciated.

I don't run an E89. However I would not have run flats and none runflats mixed on any road car. Either get some more run flats for the rear, or replace all four.

Yes, definitely will go with that advice. I was wondering if anyone had run a car withPirelli runflats and then a car with Pirelli non runflats. I was hoping to find out if there was a difference in comfort. But thanks for your comment.

Last week My E89 was fitted with non RFTs and the difference in the feel of the car is so much better and there is no way now I will go back to RFTs. Cannot comment on the Pirelli’s as I went from Bridgestone to Toyo Proxyes. Definitely don’t go mixing tyres.

I ran a 123d on 17" run-flat P-Zeros, and an E46 3 Series on 17" P-Zero non run-flats.

So I don't have a direct comparison, although both had M-Sport suspension.

FWIW I was more than happy with them on both cars.

To be honest tyre noise was good on both cars, but the non-RFTS on the E46 were definitely more comfortable than the RFTs on the 123d. Despite the E46 running 225/45 X 17 fronts and 245/40 x 17 rears, compared to 205/50 x 17 all round on the 123d!

So maybe all those advocating swapping to non RFTs have a point! Plus as you've got 19s non RFTs would provide more pot-hole protection for your rims - and non RFT tyres cost less.

Whatever you decide, I hope you keep enjoying your stunning 35is.
