Hi,
We only picked up our new Coupe on Saturday (with sports suspension), we were told the tyres were not run flat, but on the way home we felt them tramlining somewhat, and on bumpy roads they feel very unforgiving.
On closer examination, they are Dunlop SP Sport Maxx RT 94Y Extra Load.
Aren't extra load cars for SUVs and things like that - rather than a light-ish sportscar? And given their reinforced sidewalls - presumably have similar disadvantages to run flats?
Thanks,
- Rob

Some tyres tram-line more than others, and alignment/tracking/worn bushes can exacerbate this.
94XL tyre is fine for the car though - and it might just be the way the Dunlop is constructed.

Welcome to Z4 ownership...
They do tramline and worn run flats and some worn bushes and it feels like you are just the train driver!!
Things I have found help: Lower the tyre pressures 2-5PSI. Get the tracking done and avoid wet roads, especially any with deep puddles and uneven surfaces, as these are just unpleasant at speed.

Hi,
Is there a "soft" tyre for the 18" wheel that forum members recommend?
If I didn't love the R108 wheels - I'd be changing to 17" wheels with non-runflat tyres - its just too hard - skittering across the road, and tramlining like mad.

Personal favourite is the Mechelin Pilot Super Sport. If you can still get them.
