20’s on an E89...?

Post by john-e89 » Tue Jun 04, 2019 7:25 pm

Bonjourno,

Contemplating which new wheels to go the 35is, originally I thought M4 19’s but tbh the cars look slightly underwheeled on them so I’m just wondering if anyone has had any experience of 20’s on the E89?

Any thoughts good, bad chaps..?

What size tyres would go on 20's then ? 265/25/20" not a lot of rubber on the rim if they are don't you think ??

There are higher profiles than 25 though Nige.

Negligible I think. A 30 profile wouldn’t bother me tbh.

60mph would be 57.69 going from a 255/30/19 to a 255/30/20

As much as I like that, on a show car they look great but not so sure about real world driving especially on our excuse for roads.

As you mentioned M4's, I've just put them on mine and think they look good and had quite a few compliments.

Have you got spacers on that Bryand? Looks good, not underwheeled on that pic.

No spacers fitted, they aren't genuine BMW sadly so not sure of the offsets but they were purchased from here https://www.wheelsmartlondon.co.uk/ I'm also running 255/35 & 235/35 so that helps fill the arches a bit more.
