I’d have to check but from memory I’ve got 265/35 rears and 235/35 fronts. 5mm spacers all round and only small amount of rubbing on the rears under full compression.

Apparently, 265/30's are the correct tyre size for the rear, but 255/30's give a bit better speedo alignment from original. Will a 255 look stretched?
On bmw 9j rears would oe not have been 255-30-19?

No E85 or E86 (other than the M s ) ever came from factory with a 19inch option or 9j rim option so that chart must be aftermarket .
The style 230s you have shown were only available on 3 series originally & 255 30 19 would have been the tyre they left the factory with .
That's not to say 265 30 won't be a better option on 9j though :) imo it will be all to the good of both ride & alloy protection though a 255 35 would be my choice

Worth saying, the width of the tyre doesn’t affect the speedo. The profile is what can affect the speedo, and the size of the wheels of course, because they affect the rolling radius.

I think they look great btw, muscular

I went 255/30 because of the speedo reading and I couldn't get a 265/30 uniroyal. I'm not sure how accurate the speedos are, you could be just as far out with a 265/30.

I'm on the fence on this one. They could be a wheel that need just the right colour for your car but I'm just not sure what that colour should be

Hey, they look gorgeous on your car. Have you had them refurbed? And if so, what colour did you pick?

Also, what are the fronts? 225?

Yeah they were refurb'd, sorry don't know the colour name, I picked it from an example in the shop. They are quite bright in the sunlight - maybe a few shades darker would be spot on but its individual taste.

The fronts are actually 235's, when I got the wheels the front tyres were ok, which was a bonus for my wallet.
I think they look brilliant on an e86.

I think they look great on any Z4 - but then my 295s look virtually the same, they're just 18s though.

I really like them as they are. In fact, I'd almost be tempted to go a shade darker.

I normally don't like darker wheels due to the loss of detail, but it really works against the phoenix IMO
