Brutal honesty required...

Post by Z4C_er » Mon May 27, 2019 11:05 pm

Guys/Gals,

I picked these up yesterday, and fitted them on the RHS today to check them out. They need a refurb, and if I keep them, I'll be doing them in a bright silver. I currently have 200's on my car and I was shocked at how wide these 19's are on the rear. It's a completely different concept!
But..... what do you think? Yay or nay?
Please, brutal honesty required!

Love them. Mind you my opinion could be biased. I’ve got them on my E89. One thing I will say is that they are easy to keep clean.

Yeah, I bet they are!! I do like a more 'finicky' wheel design, but the cleaning/sealing access does get my attention. Thanks for the quick replies all!

Have you had yours refurbed, and if so, what colour is that? Titan silver?

Mr Wilks spotted them on EBay. Knowing I was looking for some new wheels he provided me with the necessary link. They had just been refurbished by a small business in Birmingham in Titan silver. The guy was brilliant. I bought them during the afternoon and they arrived the next morning. I’m really pleased with them although I have to admit to hankering after some CSLs.

They look mint fella! How about painting the calipers as well, that would finish them off a treat!

Thanks all! Yes, just looking up the correct colour, and it's supposed to be 'reflex silver'

Another likey from me too , a plain style but classic 5 spoke design with the concave face on rears works a tread for me.

Thanks again everyone!

Apparently, 265/30's are the correct tyre size for the rear, but 255/30's give a bit better speedo alignment from original. Will a 255 look stretched?
