That makes sense, coz the fronts look a little more 'square' than the rears. The tyres that came with my rear wheels were 275s, and the fronts were 245s which look huuuuge! This is what has scared me somewhat. Seeing yours makes me feel a lot better.StuCracker wrote: Tue May 28, 2019 8:52 pm Yeah they were refurb'd, sorry don't know the colour name, I picked it from an example in the shop. They are quite bright in the sunlight - maybe a few shades darker would be spot on but its individual taste.
The fronts are actually 235's, when I got the wheels the front tyres were ok, which was a bonus for my wallet.
I think they look brilliant on an e86.

So... after a bit of navel-gazing, I've decided to not put these on my car.
I'll sell them on, and happy to take what I paid for them, which is £225. They are all in good condition, that is: no curb rash, no buckles. One rear needs a tiny weld on the back rim edge, and generally they need a refurb.
I'll post a new entry in the 'for sale' section, but if you want to get in before they get there, let me know. I am based near Swindon.

From the photo, as a slightly darker wheel it's a good look against the Phoenix Yellow.
A bit better on an E89 but absolutely fine on your E86, though wouldn't look right with all colours I think. And not on an E85.

Thanks, but I think most like them. For me, and this is a personal thing, I felt they made the car look too 'mean' or 'muscle car'-ish. The more I look at them though, the more I think they suit the car, just not for me.greg81 wrote: Fri May 31, 2019 1:23 pmPersonally think you made the right decision. Completely off topic but that’s a really nice looking spot you’ve got there IRD.IRD wrote: Mon May 27, 2019 11:14 pm Love them. Mind you my opinion could be biased. I’ve got them on my E89. One thing I will say is that they are easy to keep clean.D8D40FA5-D267-4BDE-AA34-95960D4D9964.jpeg

I bought my 295s from IRD when he got his 230s.

The village is fabulous, but more importantly IRD is a real gent.

Yes but if the profile ratio stays the same (as in this case) then the width of the tyre does effect the radius and therefore the speedo.Bing wrote: Tue May 28, 2019 6:13 pm Worth saying, the width of the tyre doesn’t affect the speedo. The profile is what can affect the speedo, and the size of the wheels of course, because they affect the rolling radius.
I think they look great btw, muscular![]()

I think they suit the z4 nicely, but maybe only on certain colours?

Thanks for the pic, and it does indeed look lovely. I've decided to go with some 326's and will post up some pictures soon.esafaeian wrote: Sun Jun 16, 2019 1:57 pm I think they suit the z4 nicely, but maybe only on certain colours?
