19" alloys for E89 question

Post by obelix54 » Fri Mar 29, 2019 5:05 pm

Hi,

cmwheels.com have been mentioned a few times on this forum so I decided to go searching.
Going through their menus , I found these under Z4 19".

However on the actual page it doesn't mention fitting model E89. I have queried it with them by email but got no answer so I was wondering
if they are suitable for an E89 as I don't understand Offset ?

https://cmwheels.com/product/19-763m-m4 ... er-silver/

Thanks

Not sure if they would be suitable but the standard offsets for the E89 are ET29 for the front and ET40 for the rear.

They would fit but you would still need a 5 or 10mm spacer front and back to make sure that you clear the suspension. Also watch out for the width of the rim aswell, as the standard width is 8J front and 9J rear. 8.5J front definitely fits with no issues as I have that for my winter set, but 9.5J rear might be too close to the wheel arch if you fit it with 265/275 tyres.

Edit: very sleepy, the 8.5J wheels (instead of 8J) mean that you’ll get 0.25” either side of the wheel larger, so your offset for the front will need to be an additional ~5mm. Meaning your spacers should be either 10 or 15mm.
Current: Still thinking...
