I have read on tyre sites & heard a few stories of how fast RS3s wear down but to ger a true gauge you would need a similar car similar drive style .Joneeboy wrote: ↑Sat Nov 17, 2018 7:38 pmHi Kermit. What sort of mileage did you get from the RS3s? Thanks for your input.KERMIT1970 wrote: ↑Fri Nov 16, 2018 11:45 am There good enough tyres but don’t wear well. You’ll get half the mileage you’ll get out mps4.
I had a new set of 225 40 18 fitted to my workhorse Astravan 18months ago , fwd it gets hammered i'l be swapping them out in the next 6 weeks before the MOT in Jan , currently evenly measured 3mm across both tyres & just over 16k covered .
This is a mix of mway , backroads & town driving including almost 8k commuting to & through the Lakes for a spell so thoroughly heat cycled ( also heard complaints they don't perform once pushed hard but I can't say I noticed any deterioration in grip at any point)
Id happily fit them to any car i owned , in the wet & damp ive not experienced a tyre like them & that goes for MPSS which as many will know arent great on damp cold roads until fully warmed
