So i've been looking though the forums and just wanted to check before ordering the general consensus on 19'' Alloys and Tyres on the Z4
So I have a 35i and wanted to check if this spec is ok to go ahead with and order.
Alloys are 8J ET29 & 9J ET40 back
Tire size most seem to recommend is 235/35 R19 and 265/30 R19 rear
Brand Michelin PSS now discontinued so going for Michelin Pilot PS4S
Has any got these sizes fitted to 8 & 9J Alloys. I'm just a bit worried about stretch on the rears and if it will affect appearance?
Cheers
Below is the before and after differences on OEM 19'' Alloys on 235/35 - 265/30 set up v's standard 225/35 - 255/30 size.

On my 35i I'm on 326Ms (same size offsets as you're proposing) and can confirm that 235/35 F and 265/30 R tyres will be fine and the rears will certainly not appear 'stretched' at all.

There will be zero stretch with a 265/30 on a 9j. I would personally recommend a 225/35 front and 255/35 rear set up on 8 and 9j for the e89.

I’ve just ordered 235/35 & 255/35 for my 35i. Slight with increase on the front and slight profile increase on the rear means both end end up with roughly the same diameter increase. Same enough anyway.

So why are so many Z4 forum members saying the 235/35 - 265/30 set up offers a smoother ride?

You are obviously increasing the amount of rubber but most likely those who report the smoother ride after changing the sizes have also switched from runflats at the same time .
255 35 rear is certainly a must for me

I'm just about to make the jump to non RFT's, I see that the general consensus for the rears is to go 255 35 19, what's the consensus for the fronts? Keep at 225 35 or something else?
