Wheel color change?

Post by cerbera » Wed Sep 19, 2018 9:28 pm

Thinking about having my wheels redone. At the moment they are shadow chrome but I was thinking something a little darker. Any tips, hints, advice, pictures :D

I'd go brighter! Although I do like the shadow chrome you already have.

I like what you have OP.

The darker you go the harder it gets to see the design of the wheels IMHO.
Coupes because stunning!

+1 from me.

I went through a dark wheel phase but I'm glad I've seen the light (unintended pun there!). I just don't think I've ever seen a wheel look better in a dark colour than a light one. All the detail gets lost. And you can't beat a silver wheel when it's spotless clean. Your's suit your car great as they are

Thanks for your input guys. Wasn't expecting everyone to say leave as is and appreciate what you're saying about loosing the design a bit on very dark wheels. Sounds like I would be foolish to change...

Not sure if it is the light but they don't look like shadow chrome to me.

Shadow chrome does look great on CSL style wheels though.

Thanks for that Simon. I have also wondered what it'd be like with a black roof and the answer is no.

Not too great with black on the wheels either IMO - but maybe that's just me!
