Do 107 Wheels look good on a Coupe?

Post by BeeEmm » Wed Jun 27, 2018 5:25 pm

I recently tried to sell a refurbished set of 107's with good tyres on the Forum. No offers, so I decided to put them on my Coupe and I am glad that I did. To my surprise I like them and I think that they suit the car. Opinion of course, will be split, (no pun intended for the 108's) but it would be interesting to hear what others think about whether 107's look good on a Coupe. A funny thing happened when I changed the wheels, the 'Whippy' changed to a 'stubby'. How odd!

I think the 107s look best on a pre-facelift personally, lots of circles and goes with the theme.
They look fine on the Coupe, but not as good as 108s or CSL style
Edit: on yours the silver makes them pop, they look better than the grey 108s

I've always preferred the 107s to the 108s and they do seem to work on your coupe, stick with them!

It's a coupe... looks awesome no matter what

Based on those photos, the 107s win for me too

I think the colour of the 108s and the car don't quite work.

Doesn't do it for me, sorry! Prefer the 108's out of the two.
But to throw a curve ball in there, what about 224's? :fuelfire:

No, 135's suit a coupe better. IMO of course.

M badge for the sake of it? Yeah. Replica all day long.
Genuine M accessory? Nope. It's an M sport accessory. It's not there for fun, it's there cos frankly it's better in some shape or form. ZHP, M sport wheel or 224's all physically add value to the car.

I'm not sure I agree with you there, modifications really don't add to the value

tasteful mods may make your car appealing to a potential purchaser, but are unlikely to add value.
the wrong mods will very likely put most off.

I bought a set of 135's to replace the 107's and the 108's. I now like the 107's and will probably sell the 135's and 108's, or will I sell the 107's and the 108's? If I don't sell two sets, I will have 12 wheels for one car. It doesn't take long to have a 'collection'.
