What wheels do I have..
Hi,
Recently bought a Z4 that had aftermarket wheels put on, can anybody tell me what wheels they are as the insurance company are asking for more details, I know they are 19" BMW but need to know the model if possible?
Thanks

If you have an E89 these are standard wheels and so don't need to be declared to your insurance

I always wondered with wheels, if you buy a BMW with BMW branded wheels, surely 99% of people would have no idea if they were standard fit or not.
Realistically if your insurance did try and play difficult, would they have any legitimacy when it's in no way obvious they aren't factory for wheels? Even more so assuming they were the same size as factory wheels with same tyre sizing?

Like I say, more of a curiosity! Much like those insurers that insist even factory fit options are declared as mods, quite how anyone could be blamed for not knowing the factory options on a 10 year old car is beyond me.philbo909 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 07, 2018 3:59 pmIt might be fine, but would you risk it...mjennings23 wrote: ↑Thu Jun 07, 2018 2:58 pm I always wondered with wheels, if you buy a BMW with BMW branded wheels, surely 99% of people would have no idea if they were standard fit or not.
