Hi All,
I have had a look through old posts etc and cannot see an exact answer to my questions.
I have just purchased a set of 19' CSL's, they came with run flats on (Which I've taken off straight away), and they are currently at the powder coaters.
Looking at tyres and reading peoples experiences I can see there's a lot to think about. The tyres that have come off are - Fronts 245 30 19, and the rears 275 30 19.
My question is, what size tyres should I get from your experiences?? I don't want rubbing, I have not lowered YET, but I will!
Thank you in advance.
Phil

If they are 8.5 and 9.5 19s the standard sizes are 235/35/19 and 265/30/19.

Thank you for the reply,
I have read to stay clear of anything wider than 225 on the fronts, would you say that this isn't the case? I can understand that once lowered the steering angle would potentially rub once on full lock on the wider tires, which is why before spending a small fortune id like to be sure.
The rears seem sensible at 265, thanks

It depends what model you have and how low you want to go, I'm currently running 245/35 19 fronts with almost zero rub except a tiny bit on full lock, lowered 25mm. Also something to note is different make tyres have a different shape sidewalls, some slimmer than others, some with more or less rim protector. I'm sure our resident wheel and tyre expert Mr. Wilks will be along shortly to give you some more accurate advice. General rule is you can go down one size or up one size e.g. 225 or 245 on a 8.5 that should take a 235. Hope that helps.
