Newbie tyre question

Post by greg81 » Sun Apr 29, 2018 12:25 pm

Hi all,

I just picked up a pair of Uniroyal RS3 from a guy near me. 2 fronts.

He was selling a full set of 4 and gave me 2 of them. Having looked at the tread pattern I'm unsure if these tyres are sided and I have 2 of the same side. Does these look right for a pair of fronts or should the pattern be a mirror image of the opposite side?

Thanks in advance!
Greg

So I'm right that they should be mirrored?

I take it the "inside"/"outside" is just printed to make sure you get the asymetrical? Would I be best to just get the right tyre from him?

Thanks again!

There is no paired up tyre , they all fit so the water grooves X 2 are on the inside of the wheel no matter what side

Ok great, so just fit them as they sit in my photo with the 2 grooves to the inside?

Apologies for the lack of experience here!

Just my tuppence worth, I've just had a full set fitted so I hope it's correct  . I've had uniroyal RS3 before and the look of the tread pattern has always felt strange.

It was the same for vredestein ultrac sessanta's. Always had comments telling me they're fitted incorrectly. This image proves it is correct.
