Lincolnshire County Council have a link on their website which allows you to report potholes. Yes, you have to log on and think up another password , but I have found the ones I have reported have been fixed within two or three weeks ( they were on minor roads) you also get access to a map which displays every reported pot hole, raised drain cover etc.
So if you hit one that's already been reported I guess it would be easier to claim. It's a lottery even if you know where they are, especially if you are driving at night. I just see reporting them as a means to at least start the process of filling them.

hit a massive once a few weeks back in my ST, the bang was so loud my son started to cry......
Wheel was thankfully ok as it hit right in the middle of the thick spokes, probably the strongest area of the rim, and tyre literally exploded however , and me left stranded.... Much to my joy i had randomly had a free deal of tyre insurance on the purchase of 4 new ones!! the garage in questions replaced within 30 mins of my arrival , totally free and sent me on my way. The tyres are covered for the life of as well, any punctures, anything happens to then they repair or replace.

Ive seen roads in Germany with signs warning of poor surfaces - they are normally in better condition than our potholed cart tracks!

There was a bit in the paper the other day about a guy who went around his town spraying yellow paint in the shape of a huge cock around every pothole he found.
Apparently shamed the council into repairing them all the following weekend.
Tempted to go buy some paint and a balaclava and get all banksy on my town tonight.

You’ve got to love the British sense of humour - in this case employed to good effect!Tbone wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 10:15 amI heard this too... here is some of his fine work...Rich8 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 29, 2018 10:00 amThere was a bit in the paper the other day about a guy who went around his town spraying yellow paint in the shape of a huge cock around every pothole he found.
