I think that the PS4 is the replacement for the PS3 and the PS4S is the replacement for the PSS..........both great tyres, just depends on what you're looking for

From what I've read and understand they're two very different tyres and the S' construction technique follows that of the Supersport that precedes it and is considerably more expensive to manufacture than the PS4 hence the limited tyre size availability (this was similar at the start with Supersport).
As to finding out the exact differences in construction and compounds between the two, I'd expect that's difficult information to find unless you knew someone in 'the know'.
Plenty of decent real life comparisons out there for you to read/watch though which probably would help more than a bunch of numbers.
fairly decent one on the 4s

Don't know anything about the construction but rang Michelin a couple of weeks ago and asked the very same question, all as they would say is that the PS4 was for 100% road use and the PS4s 90% road and 10% track.

Cool. Just had 4 PS4s fitted today with a 4 wheel alignment :)

Love it!! Awesome combinations with my coilovers, handles like it’s on rails!

Also has new brake pads and discs. Brake lines and oil, and a oil service and level sensor.

Drives loverly!

You can get the PS4 in a 19+too.

As other have said, the PS4S is a totally different compound and the replaces the super sport. I had These fitted and they’re amazing :)
