224 tyre advice

Stupid question time - can I run 224's with 225/40/18 (front) and 255/35/18 (rear) - in other words standard non M tyres - or does it look stupid? :? - profiles are only one notch down on both.

Im one of those who run 224s on a non M with standard rubber - I go for Goodyear Eagle F1s
(arch gap will look bigger on mine cos its on SE springs)
