Michelin PS4 vs Goodyear Eagle F1
What are your thoughts on the above?
The runflats at the rear are down pretty low so will need to be replaced soon and I'm trying to decide which tyres to go for. 100% moving on from runflats though
will be going on a 2006 3.0si Coupe
Do less than 4k miles per year
Thanks

The goodyears are a great tyre. Had them before when i ran 19'' wheels.
I currently use vredestein vorti's and really rate them for the price.

If you drive 'normally to 'moderately spirited' then get the F1s and save yourself some money.
If you want the better of the two then get the PS4s. There are independent tests confirming this as well as my own experience.
I had both on the same car as you.
NB: Assuming you're on standard 18" wheels I'd highly recommend you use a 245/40/18 on the rear. It makes the speedo pretty much spot on rather than over reading and takes out some of the inherent understeer. There's still more than enough grip for the power.

honestly, never liked my F1's as much as other tyres I had. They seem to struggle for traction often! feel good in corners but off the line/accelerating they spin up easier than the other two sets of tyres I have had on the z4.
my favorite of the bunch is yokohama advan 105s. Those seem to be best bang for buck and perform in my opinion better than eagle f1's or conti sports 5's.
I have heard good things about uniroyal rainsport 3's so worth a try.

I wouldn't bother with Rainsport 3, they're very much over hyped, much like the old Toyo T1R's 15 years ago. They have very good grip in wet conditions compared to mid range tyres, but not like the latest premium tyres from Michelin and the like. They also wear very quickly, i killed a pair of fronts on my old Clio 182 within 5k miles. Same car managed 5k miles with yoko AD08R's (soft road/track tyre) and still had 4+mm of thread when i sold them. They also have pretty poor dry grip and very soft sidewalls compared to premium tyres. You'd probably end up getting through 2 sets in the time a single set of PS4 worn out, so false economy really.
I bought PS4's for my wife's C-Max recently, and was very surprised with how much grip these gave in wet and greasy conditions, granted its a C-Max, but it is the 1.6 ecoboost version with 180bhp, and I was struggling to get the front wheels to spin up without being stupid.
Currently got F1's on my E85, fronts being AS3 rears AS2. These were on the car when i bought it. I've had AS3 on a previous car and quite like them, But that was a front wheel drived diesel. I feel the rear AS2, seem to let go far too often this time of year for my liking. Not sure how much different the AS3's would be thought.
I have been considered getting a pair of PS4 for the rear, even though the AS2 have about 5mm of thread left still. Based on there performance on the C-Max and the many very positive reviews and road test on them. For the small difference in price over there lifespan, I'd go for the PS4 over the Eagle F1

Yep, ran Vredestein Ultrac Sessanta on my M3 for years and easily the best performance / £ tyre I have ever had. I think they have been succeeded by Vorti now but much the same.

As said before you pays your money and you takes a choice. I do a similar mileage and have used Rflts : Vredstein Ultrac Vorti and at present PS4s .Ignoring the run flats. I also do not believe you will find a great difference between them or be disappointed with either I find the Ps4's an excellent tyre grippy in wet and dry and quiet. But to be honest I would also say the same for the Vredstein's . Again it comes down to personal choice and price .

Both good but I always seem to get more miles out of Michelin tyres, so I guess it's down to the price you can get them for.

I have PS4 on the back and PS3 on the front. If the 4s last as long as the 3s I'll be delighted - got 16k out of the 3s on the rear (plus whatever the previous owner did on them), and the fronts are still going on 20k!
Grip is excellent in all weathers, no complaints here
