I put the wrong link in. these are the ones I was thinking of getting, but the seller on mentions 8J. I thought the fronts were 8J and the rears 8.5J.

At least one of the tyres is a 225, and another 255, so they must be a staggered set (well that or a stupid fitment).gadgetJunky72 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 9:27 am I put the wrong link in. these are the ones I was thinking of getting, but the seller on mentions 8J. Also, your money and all that but I've just arranged to pick up a pair of MV3's for £280 (for my E91) - £625 seems a lot to me unless they are 100% mint.

thanks for the feedback. I'll keep looking for a better priced set. they definitely aren't mint.
am I right in thinking if they aren't specifically advertised for a Z4 they will still fit? i.e. there's only one fitment which works for both a 3 series and Z4? I've never been able to figure out wheel sizes.

Original staggered 18s for the E85s like 108s, MV2s, etc. are 8Jx18 ET47 fronts and 8.5Jx18 ET50 rears. E46 3 Series models had the same sizes and offsets.gadgetJunky72 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 10:24 am am I right in thinking if they aren't specifically advertised for a Z4 they will still fit? i.e. there's only one fitment which works for both a 3 series and Z4? Staggered 18s for an E9* model 3 Series like these seem to be 8Jx18 ET34 fronts and 8.5Jx18 ET37 rears so the fronts will sit 14mm further out of the wheelarches and the rears 13mm further out, both of which as mrwilks says will look better than 108s or MV2s and shouldn't cause you any issues with rubbing - unless your suspension is lower than standard M-Sport. Always assuming you fit the standard tyre sizes!
If you look at any others this might be helpful:- https://www.willtheyfit.com/

Most BMW wheels fit most other BMWs (well, generally, offset, brake size, wheel clearance etc aside!), so you won't usually see them advertised as Z4 fitment as they are E9x wheels and only ever fitted to E9x's from the factory.gadgetJunky72 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 10:24 amthanks for the feedback. There's only one variant of MV3 (staggered sizes) so all will fit as well as each other.
By that slightly cryptic sentence, I mean I've not personally fitted them to a Z4 to say if or what spacers etc you might need.

Finally got round to getting a set of MV3s. The offset is so much better than the 108s.

I do like how good clean 108s look, but they don't seem to look good for too long before the lacquer starts lifting.
My 2nd Z4 had a decent set of 108s so I sold them before they needed an expensive refurb!
I much preferred the 295s I bought to replace them.
But those MV3s look great!

They remind me of plastic wheel trims. IMOMr Tidy wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 10:44 pmNo you aren't!blunderthumbs wrote: ↑Tue May 04, 2021 10:18 pm Am I the only member on the forum who doesn't like 108's

Got the car lowered on Eibach springs to finish off the look. I get a bit of a judder at 80mph, which wasn't happening before I got the springs fitted. I'm hoping a wheel alignment will fix it.
