Santa got me an oem wind deflector for my Zed. I've fitted the roll bar covers and brackets, but I just can't fathom out how to fit the screen..I think I'm having a very senior moment...Can someone help this thicko out please ??

It just slides over the top of the brackets.

I tried that, but felt I would have to force it, which I didn't want to do..There are spring loaded bits of plastic in the screen bracket...what are they for?

It only fits one way around and then clicks into place as you slide it down the brackets.
If it won't lock in just reverse it

It does fit both ways. Bing, Jan and me we debating which way round it should actually be fitted.cj10jeeper wrote:It only fits one way around and then clicks into place as you slide it down the brackets.

OP, If you look by the runners there is a L & R marked to indicate though.

SR - I cannot speak for others but can categorically say that on mine if you put it in one way it clips in and locks. If reversed it slides in but does not go to the bottom of the channel and lock. Same when fitted in the boot that it locks in just one way (with the mesh closet to the boot and away from luggage)
They my have changed the design in later years.
All academic as it would appear as Andrew points out op may have an E89..

When we picked ours up the wind deflector was installed the wrong way round.
It does fit the wrong way but as said it doesnt click in properly.
If I remember right you push it fully down then back slightly and release and it should hold in place.

Hello folks, Mr Thicko reporting for duty !! As you will gather, still no luck, so a couple of questions:
Is the screen fitted fully opened , or half open?
Once fitted, how do you remove it?
I've attached some pics below...On the first one, why is the arrow pointing to the small metal button? (In the screen slots for the brackets)
The other 2 pics, can you just confirm they are the correct bits...Ta
