2003 - heated M3 seats

Post by rwinstanley85 » Thu Jan 18, 2018 7:58 am

Hello,
As some may have seen on the newbie thread I posted some pics of a car I’m due to collect.

It has M3 all electric seats, but I want to fit heated seats “, I believe my year has the wire loom for it ?

Where can I get the heat elements? And do
I need be looking for M3 ones or Z4 due to the change ? If M3 will the loom and switch panel still work for them on the Z4 - any help much appreciated

you'd be as well selling the existing m3 seats for some heated M3 seats. they go for 2-300 quid for fronts only sometimes full interior. depending on your year of car, if its 2005 or older they'll all be plug and play, whereas the facelifts its a different ball game (no heated loom)

However if you really want to convert, then you'll need a heated pad from an m3 seat as the upper part of the seat has the u shaped curve at the top which wont be the same as the Z4 seats.
18 Z4s owned to date.

Current: 2.5i Titan silver

Daily driver: 480bhp M140i Shadow edition.
