Window problem

Post by Quadracer » Sat Feb 09, 2013 9:15 pm

I went for a drive around today with the roof down. No reason, just cause the sun was shining. Even had some boy racer in a Nova thought he would have a go. Showed him what the 35is was capable of with a quick blip. Bye bye

Anyway pulled up to buy a bottle of pop and when I open the door to get out a black piece of trim fell on the road in front of me. I picked it up and examined it wondering where it came from. Looking around the car I soon realised it was the rubber from between the two side windows. Looks like it was just glued on and has come off. Anybody else had this problem?

As in the bit of rubber from the rear small window that seals onto the larger front window? I've not had the problem, but never looked closely enough to see how its affixed. Not a good sign on a brand new car tho... best go check the other one too!

Yes that's the bit, doesn't look like it had much adhesive on it. I've managed to wedge it in overnight in case it rains.

Presumably one of the hand fitted elements... hence human error. My car's had plenty of hand fitted elements I think!

Double sided sticky tape until I get to the dealer. I've rang them and told them, so that they know.

After over 3 weeks of waiting the window has finally been changed. No more wind noise :)
