e89 roof problem

Post by rayz4 » Mon Apr 02, 2012 11:01 am

My z went in to the dealers this morning for investigation of the roof problem. I eagerly await their findings. I have a 1series convertible as a courtesy car, very nice i must say. One other thing was the service receptionist asked if i would like my z valeted, well yes i thought i`snt that normal practice any way, err no the cost would be £45 sir, special offer at the moment usually £90, KIN HOW MUCH i said, i think i`ll decline your generous offer at this time. Bet the guy cleaning the cars i`snt paid that sort money !!!!!

Whenever mine goes into the dealers I tell them not to wash/valet it - wouldn't trust them not to damage the paintwork.

Never get them to touch mine, my car went in for a service last week, 52,000 miles when I returned to pick it up the service guy looked sheepish at me and said.....

....really sorry but your car has to come back, we forgot to order the spark plugs so we have only done half the service :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

My wife had her MINI Cooper S serviced the other week at the main dealer. She has the John Cooper Works kit on it with the (expensive) carbon roof spoiler. The prat they gave it too to wash put it through their auto carwash and it dislodged the spoiler from the roof!! They know that those spoilers shouldn't go through a car wash! :headbang:

I was after a new replacement but on inspection (I went down there to sort them out) it had just dislodged the fixing with no structural damage. All fixed now but I got them to record it in case we have future problems with it!
3.0si Z4 Coupe then an sDrive 35i Z4. Great cars, now gone. Range Rover Evoque owner now! :)
