Battery cover rattle

Post by InvisibleName » Mon Oct 24, 2011 12:12 pm

Does anyone else find the the battery cover in the floor of the boot / trunk rattles? It seems a strange design that it just 'sits' there with no fasteners

I don't get a rattle but on large bumps there's a knock as the cover lifts and falls.

Keep meaning to get some Velcro put on it.

This is exactly what I was trying to describe (and the solution I was thinking of doing!)

Not the battery - the lift off cover on the floor of the boot!

Sorted - 4 discreet, black, self-tapping screws placed 2 on the side where the floor curves up & 2 at the back where it sits on the plastic 'shelf'.... no more ratlle !!

Sorry, late to this thread but never noticed any problem with battery cover on mine. I bought a hard boot liner anyway so when it's used there's no chance of any problem like you're experiencing
