Braking in heavy rain?

Post by bazzae123 » Mon Aug 29, 2011 4:49 pm

Hi Guy's,

What's your Zed like braking in heavy rain? The reason why I ask is on the two occasions recently we have had quite heavy downpours while traveling on the motorway each time I've hit the brake for the first time the car snatches to the left quite hard, it feels like the front left has a lot more bite, once the water has cleared it's OK.
I was wondering if other people have noticed the same thing?

No problems like that at all, mine breaks cleanly regardless of the prevailing conditions, best take it in to the dealer.

Thanks sars,

I asked them to check it when I had the boot latch fixed on Friday. Apparently they took it for a spin and said nothing was wrong, but at that time the roads were only wet and not saturated with a heavy downpour. It does annoy me when I get a response like that because it kind of saying you must have imagined it. I'll see whats it like the next time it chucks it down and if its the same I'll take it back again.

Thanks

Might be worth a visit to a MoT centre & put it on one of their machines that test the pressure applied against each wheel.

Tell them the problem & see if their equipment shows up any imbalance under different loads & speeds
