Re: Ongoing Problems

Post by jaz4 » Mon Nov 21, 2011 10:10 pm

Ive posted previously with all my other 3 old shape z4's having some issues which took more than 1 go at fixing.

This one within 3 weeks of owning has already gone back (the pick up driver bless has driven all my 4 zds, only 2 months ago he had been a few times with the last old shape and cant beleive ive got issues with the new shape.) Granted its not new its 16 months old but still only a few days from approved BMW sales. rear pasanger light cluster replaced due to water, both fronts fogged but they say its normal, but for how long before mist goes over the beam. one wheel appeared to be scratchd/ cracked but they say it can be fixed for £60.

Ill get it done when it goes in for its 2 year break fluid change in Jan (yes its not the reg date but man date so has been un regestered fro 4 months in a showroom.

Mines at dealers all day today having the door lock comfort setting looked at. They are also changing those rear vents under warranty.

May take the dealers offer to take an M3 they have for sale out for a test while I'm there this afternoon! Nice car (the V8 model). White with all the carbon!

Well, car in dealers last Friday and the comfort setting problem is a faulty door handle so one on back order. They did the recall rear vent problem and kindly informed me my front tires were basically Illegal (knew they were close!) so now 2 tires poorer!

M3 was nice, but not as good looking as the Z4! :P

It is good... I must be one of the more 'get the most out of it' drivers here as I've got 12K miles on my car and I'll be lucky to get another 1000 miles before I need new rears. The fronts aren't great either and I reckon another 6-8K miles before they need to be replaced.

Come on guys, its a sportscar, get it used!!! :poke:
