Read through manual just to make sure I'm not doing something wrong and saw that. Only thing I can think is there must be some sort of temp sensor inside the car that assists the climate to decide how hot to blow the air. Top down the sensor is ignored I get the full range of temperatures, or top up with heat on max temp the sensor is also ignored and i get full heat (this is also referred to in handbook).
