Boot scratched all over!!!

Post by Breaker » Sat Mar 27, 2010 10:28 pm

At a health club I work at this morning. Z4 in carpark. When I went to go home early afternoon I was putting bags in the boot. Shut the lid and noticed some scratches on the top!! Looked almost like claw marks!! Very, very anoyed! :x
What caused them?
A bloody crow! It's attacked cars there before! Club was busy and I had to park it in a different area than normal! It lands on the car with it's talons and basically tap dances on the cars pecking at the paintwork as it goes!
First look I thought respray, but an hour later with Scratch X and a polishing head on a drill and a good waxing they are all gone! Well pleased! Trouble is the boot now puts the rest of the car to shame!!
I'm thinking of buying an air rifle!! I'll get my own back somehow!
Bloody chav crow!! :x

Well, there's a sign that the rest of your car is in need of some good loving care. Black is unforgiving... :)

True! If I ever buy another Z4 it won't be black!! Nice when clean but they sow up any slight mark in th sun!
I take good care of my cars, but they are a tool not an orniment! Got a few stone chips now from driving 'enthusiastically'. Just call them Joy Scars!! ;-)

I actually start considering black for my next Zed (look cool when the car is clean as you said). I should now reconsider after you mentioned it.

I agree with 'mcbeee'

Black is too hard to keep up if you drive a lot. White is soooo much easier... The car can be dirty and not look dirty. :D

White is the same. I will get very annoyed if there is dirt on the paintwork.

We get it every year with crows. The sit on door and attack wing mirrors. They see their reflection and try to attack it.
Had to cover mirrors with plastic bags last year on both cars

2013 SLK 250CDI AMG Sport, Tenorite silver.
2012 transit van, white of course!
