Help with odd warning symbol

Post by obewan » Tue Sep 21, 2021 10:42 am

Please could any of you wise ones help me with a yellow dash warning symbol
On a road trip, so no handbook and no joy with a quick Google
Just had a gear change type symbol, like 1st to 4th, with an arrow head where the 4 would be
There was also a capital ‘R’ in the middle.

At the time I was in 30mph road works with the cruise control on, and going downhill
Could it be some sort of retardation warning?

Light went out straight away. No hazard signs left on dash

Car running ok and I’ve had CC on on the motorway with no issues.

Grateful for any info

Help with odd warning symbol

Too low a speed for gear while using cruise. If you’d changed down a couple of gears it would disappear.

Iirc anything under 1k revs while in cruise will trigger this
