E89 Paddles and "S" mode not working

Post by Steve66 » Sat Aug 28, 2021 11:56 am

Hi all,
I have tried the paddle wire switch mentioned on this forum to alter the left paddle wiring (switch 2 outer wire) to make the paddles work more like normal car paddles ie different each side when you pull the paddles.

The problem I now have is the paddles don't work at all and if I move the gear change to the left the car does not go into "S" mode.

Gearbox will still go into sport by the swtich next to the lever

I have tried swapping the wires back and still no look

I have read the codes and there is an error on the gearbox. If I clear it it just comes straight back

Any ideas please

Car is a 2.3i sdrive auto

Thanks Steve

Try disconnecting the battery might reset it.....

Also on your photo we cannot read the entire entry on the right (5087 EGS) which is the one we need to see
