Leather seat help / advice
My recently purchased E89 has a less than ideal driver seat, which I'd like to improve. Does anyone have any recommendations on products / techniques that would enable me to have a go at this myself, or experts (central Scotland ideally) that would take this on for me ?
Thanks in advance

This is a relatively simple inexpensive fix.

Buy some of this.
Prior to use, clean the area (or the whole seat) with some woolite + water solution. I can’t remember the precise ratio, but I think I used six parts water to one part woolite.
You can use a magic eraser as as a light abrasive over the seat bolster. Then apply the dye in layers leaving 24 hours between each coat.
Don’t drive the car until it’s fully dry, or you will get red on you.
Those scratches on the base maybe more difficult. They look like damage to the plastic clear coat on the leather. You could try some autoglym trim restorer. It works good on plastics. Or experiment with the various leather balm products available.
The method I described for the bolster won’t give a factory fresh finish, but it’s 99% cheaper than a professional job, which requires a professional to respray and re-emboss the seat. I think you will be happy with the results.

They do colour matched kits for cars with dye and restorer. Did mine; it looked the same as your picture, came up well (my seats are black which is undoubtedly easier though)

Colourlock have UK site.
Been looking for kansas beige, my small bottle i had as run dry, can't seem to find any kansas.
But do have some cream spray paint, seems a good match, as the leather dyes don't seem to last long.
Also my beige passenger door trim has lots of stress cracks along it's length. Starting to look a mess.
Wouldn't mind it's never used.

This is a link to furniture clinic products on amazon.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=furniture+ ... 5_ts-doa-p
I bought the complete repair kit. which includes a filler. Works really well at filling cracks and stays flexile its impossible to see that it has been repaired(if follow instructions and get colour right- mine black so easy).
Would highly recommend it.
Will see if I can find photos of bolster I did on my E91

Wondered if anybody could identify the colour for me. Going through BMW Vin checker it suggests Kansas/Canberra Beige code LYCY
But when I cross reference this with https://leatherworldtech.com/bmw-dye/ that just looks plain wrong?
Wonder if the seats have been dyed before to a new ‘creamish’ colour
Looking to use Furniture Clinic so have sent them over some photos hopefully they can colour match

Shows canberra beige as almost white on their swatch and as Dakota not Kansas (although I think I heard somewhere they are the same). My monitor isn't the best though TBH

Cheers, think you have found the best match.
An employee got back to me so I’m going to email them over the Canberra Beige option & see what they can do in terms of a small kit or bottle in this colour

Thanks for all the help. I've got some stuff on order from furniture clinic and scratch doctor. I'll maybe post some 'after' shots, once it's done, unless of course I make a complete @r$e of it, in which case... not.

In which case definitely do; I promise we won't take the p*ss (maybe)
If the colour doesn't quite match, it just means you've got to rub the dye on all of both seats which isn't too bad. I have found Furniture Clinic products to be very good. The dye and restorer also smells really nice. Good luck
