I test drove two E89 before buying my 35i from out of state sight unseen. I was holding out for a Blue 35i manual and searched for 6 months. I had it shipped and couldn't be happier with the performance.
Unfortunately, the wind noise is nothing like the two I test drove. We just did a 500 mile road trip and the whistle got a little old after a while. Here's a quick video of the noise at different speeds. And before folks jump on me for reckless driving, please note the video was filmed on a closed track.

Anyone else with excess wind noise or suggestions on a fix (other than turning up the radio OR putting the top down )? The noise seems to be coming from right over the passenger side visor. There's no sign of gasket damage and I did apply one application of a gasket treatment (nextzett): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004B8GTQG
Appreciate any suggestions.
Thanks,
Nick

E89 Wind Noise (with Top Up)
Perhaps not a solution, but something that needs to be done to eliminate dry seals as a source of noise and as a matter of good housekeeping, anyway. Gummi Pflege liberally the rubber seals at the top of the windscreen and all those around the sections of the roof.
That said, your noise sounds as if it has damage as its source. Can't a passenger feel wind coming in?

Blimey that is unusual and very loud. Does the roof look like it's properly seated fron the outside. With that sort of noise I'd expect it to be obvious that something isn't fitting. Have you tried taping over the roof/windscreen gap to prove where it's actually coming from? That at least should confirm the specific point..

Your'e on an airfield...it's the jet engine kicking in.
Does sound like the rubber seal along the roof joints not sealing.
One assumes the noise is still there with windows dropped slightly.

I had a similar problem with my my wife’s E93 cabriolet, it turned out to be the passenger side air vent which on adjusting cured it, just thought it might be worth investigating, good luck

clarker63 gets the prize. The tape trick worked. I've been looking at the top the entire time and turns out... my windshield isn't glued down. Guess I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions and assumed it was a top issue. Not sure if this is factory or a replacement. I'll check in with some glass guys to get it addressed.
