So i'm putting the trim back on after new windshield and this floating around under the mirror;
Still never use auto so won't miss it really.
Is no one capable of doing a job right, this should be stuck to windshield.Not joined yet? Register for free and enjoy features such as alerts, private messaging and viewing latest posts and topics.

All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.

He had a new windscreen fitted and the fitters couldnt have done the job properly by not reattaching the sensor to the inside of the screen

This sensor would explain why there is a grille on the front edge of rear view mirror trim.

I guess that was the sensor that was changed with my replacement screen…. £105 at BMW prices! posting.php?mode=quote&f=22&p=1826906

Well, i will try to stick it on with some glue or double sided tape.
I realise i set my air con to auto, so do use it, but not noticed it working.

A thin double sided sticky pad is what you need, don't bother with double sided tape as it'll keep falling off.
You can't buy the OE pad on its own only the sensor with a pad attached, I think this is because it is possible that the sensor can be damaged easily when being removed from the screen.

Well i tried double sided tape, it fell off. So stuck it back on long enough to get the trim back on.
Out of sight out of mind.
Autoglaze asked me for a review, i told them about this and the glass being a bit short along the pillars at bottom.
