Micro switches arrived..how you get the little screws in past the spring seems interesting..

The old screws have to be drilled out. You need 4x M3x5mm allen screws as replacement, not available from BMW.

Don't worry, as the new microswitches have new screw threads on it's carrier plate.

I do have another explanation:
to dominate the E89 roof, you have to be a swiss master watchmaker, not a car mechanic.

I have done 2 E89 roof faults...

Both have been the microswitches on the ram sections.

Both had hairline cracks in the outer body,replacement from BMW are upgraded part that requires a bit of soldering.

Never had much luck as an amateur gynaecologist so will do evening classes in watch making!
