Hi there a mate of mine left one off his funny cigarettes on top of the pop up display whilst the car was off. I didn't know and when switched it on his paraphernalia fell into the gap behind the display for when it is closed. I can't see it but I know it is there :(hear it and smell it):
How do I get it out. it is the weight of a small cigarette but no luck with paper/card, small rope, thin twigs. Found I need to remove the display iif anyone knows?
Or is there anything flexible and stickly enough to attract it?

Try cutting off a piece of garden hose pipe about 1m long and then tape it onto the end of a vacuum cleaner hose pipe. Turn on the vacuum and use the hose attachment to suck out anything thats behind the screen (its smaller, more flexible than the vacuum hose). I had a mates car that had a smashed windscreen and tons of glass had gone down into the vents, every time you turned a corner it sounded like you were at the beach! I was able to get all the glass out by feeding the hose pipe in.

Worst case scenario is you'll have to take the screen out.
Start at 03:34 on this video https://youtu.be/VC9VFJBDFQM
Although this is the non-iDrive version the dismantling is the same
Hope that helps.

Tell a smackhead there are drugs behind the screen that they can have as long as they don't damage the mechanism......they'll have it out in seconds!

Get any springer spaniel in there, they seem to love the stuff. Alternatively pick your friends better
All good things come to those who wait. I'm really impatient which explains a lot.
