Voice command shockingly bad

Is it me or is the voice command system in a z4 2016 shockingly bad ?

Can it be updated or anything ? Doesn't matter what I say - if I ask for BBC radio 1, I will get radio Azerbaijan. If I ask for BBC radio 2 I get BBC Asian network. Literally no radio station can be recognised at all. No joke.
The satnav isn't really any better. And when it talks back to me , half the things it says are virtually well, unrecognisable.

I don't have a strong regional accent so Either something is very wrong or BMW spent thruppence on this system.

Anyone else have this problem?

Are you speaking with the roof down by any chance?

Is the speech it returns just clear gobblydegook or muffled?

In Scotland we have known for a long time that voice commands rarely work for us

Makes no difference. Even with the roof up, what ever I ask she returns with something else.random.
Never ever gets a radio station right
It's.horrendous

Even the voice she talks in and they way everything is pronounced is absolutely awful.

Real shame.expecrdd better.

Thats weird... I was talking about this very clip to one of my American clients about 2 hours ago
