non-metallic rattle from rear side when going over pothole or bump

Post by tintoverano » Sat Jun 20, 2020 3:47 pm

from time to time I still had some rattle when speed, bump and/or pothole got in sync to trigger it, but it seems those few cases are gone, since I replaced roof microswitches #4, #5 as preventive maintenance

I happily realized the other day, that I don't hear the rattle anymore the places where it got always triggered

there's a step, putting the roof back together, which is probably responsible for this:

adjusting the rubber space buffers worked https://www.newtis.info/tisv2/a/en/e89- ... e/AfKTvqOq

I had the noise coming from behind the passenger seat on the right side, so raised those two buffers - lower: ~1.5mm, upper: ~1mm

what a relief this test drive was :driving:

thanks for pointers Rob
How do you adjust those space buffers? just pull them up?
