Hi all,
I recently replaced my pads on all corners along with sensors after the warning light came on. The fronts automatically reset back to having 18000 miles on them, but the rears are still showing 4000 and the light is still on.
I've driven 300 miles since the change
I've been searching high and low and can't find anything that works for the e89. Can anyone point me in the direction of how to sort this?
Thanks in advance!

If it was a red warning you need a new sensor, if it’s an orange one it’s resettable. I used Carly on my car with no issuesgreg81 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2019 10:04 pm Hi all,

Resetting brake pad warning light
I ended up going to a indy to have them reset it with a scan tool, as i didn't own one at the time.
To save future hassle i just tied the sensors back and not use them.

You have to release the handbrake when resetting the brake warning, otherwise it won't reset.

So I found out how to do this in the CBS menu. The fronts reset fine, but the rears won't reset. When attempting to reset, the gong sounds and it goes back out to the main menu.

Is it a manual or auto, if auto try putting it in neutral and don’t have your foot on the brake

Did i read somewhere the brake mileage can't be reset if it's over 400 miles left or the final wear contact has not been made on the sensor.
Perhaps get the old sensor attached and file it down and touch the disc until the brake warning comes on, then attach the new one and try and reset.
My problems started when it went to -400.
I know my rears are stuck at 2000 miles to go, with a new sensor attached, but not fitted to brake. Been like that a year or so.
It won't let me reset the mileage, can't be bothered with it.
