Fixed

I found the problem via YouTube, my go to font of all knowledge, turns out the problem was very simple........I’m a nob, I’d been doing it wrong the whole time

followed the correct procedure and it connected without a hitch lol

Glad you got it sorted. How come the Samsung connected in seconds though if you were using wrong procedure?

When the car came up on the phone I was clicking on it and waiting for the phone to allow me to generate a pin. What I actually needed to do was create a pin on the stereo, the phone then asked for that pin and allowed it to pair. The Samsung just paired automatically when I clicked on the car name, don’t think I even entered a pin

Ah well, this would normally be true, except I was following the manual, even the BMW help lime told me my phone was incompatible, the you tube method was different.......but worked
