I have a very similar one from here: https://www.justroadster.com/collection ... ctor-clear
Works great, but I did get some noise from it at speed and on bumpy roads where the plastic would flex and rattle against the roll hoops. The fix, suggested by the seller was to stick some of these on: https://www.amazon.com/Bumpers-Small-Di ... B003F092P6
I don't have any problems during the day or at night from reflections on the plastic.

What they said. Not a fan of solid wind deflectors.

The Heath Robinson straps alone are enough to put me off it, only marginally better than blu-tac

The oem version is made of mesh to allow a little wind through it, solid ones create more turbulence in the cabin because of the lack of this

I've had a windblox deflector for several year now, very pleased with it. My wife won't let me put the top down without it.Davegilsenan wrote: ↑Sat Jun 22, 2019 9:08 am Has anyone got experience of non BMW wind deflector. I found this- https://www.windblox.com/bmw-z4-2009-now-windscreen.htm

I'm pretty happy with this glass deflector I got off Ebay for $160. I think the OEM Wind Deflector would be best, but I don't like how it looks. Too bulky. I like the minimalist look, and the one I got is glass, not plastic, so no flopping around. To remove, it slides right out in a few seconds.

Wind deflector
I bought a clear Perspex wind deflector, had it delivered to work. When it arrived I fitted it straight away and drive home. I then removed it and sent it back. I found that it increased noise and turbulence and caused more breeze around my legs. It was better with nothing fitted!
I have an OEM one now and it works exactly as it should. I never remove it, it stays up whether the top is down or not.
