Hi All,
I have a very odd one, wondering if anyone else has experienced this.
When driving for more then a couple of miles in sport plus mode (not driving hard, just enjoying the noise) I get the engine management light and limp home mode. It usually clears after a restart or two.
Has anyone else experienced this? The car runs brilliantly the rest of the time, but it seems to be sport plus that is the common factor when the light comes on...

You’ll need to get some error codes to see what is going on.

Where are you in the Rev range when this happens ?
I have had similar symptoms, and no error codes

Normally somewhere in the low-middle of the Rev range.

Finally got this sorted - turned out to be a faulty throttle pedal. I’m guessing this may start becoming more common. The parts man at bmw said they’re now selling up to 40 throttle pedals a month (across bmw). Which for a part that shouldn’t wear out is a lot!

The E89 range is just ageing so more spares will be sold. Eventually we will be down to a few specialists stocking parts for our creaky old classics.I reckon I will wear out before my Zed..Lil_g_1234 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 21, 2019 6:33 pm Finally got this sorted - turned out to be a faulty throttle pedal.
